What do you think is the better go to for that? I need to decide for a project that involves heave ML. I'm more familiar with R but heard that Python has more to offer...

I'm pretty sure you can use Python in R. I don't have a lot of expertise but if your looking for something specific to data analysis, R would be good to know. otherwise, Python is very versatile and will be used in almost anything you do

R is more for statistics, but Python is more for ML. Python is probably more favorable for jobs and can do a lot more than just ML, but it is hard to do more that just stats/ML in R.
